Walt Disney Pictures is a world-dominating corporation, spawning hit after hit for several years and racking up stacks of hard earned cash. There are, however, Disney films that, while loved by home audiences, didn’t fare well at all with critics. Today we’re looking at 10 of those beloved Disney films and scratching our heads over their unjust ratings.
1010. The Pacifier (2005)
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 20%
I’m an unabashed fan of Vin Diesel’s tough-guy babysitter romp. Though silly and formulaic, The Pacifier is also one of the most underrated Disney films. When highly decorated Navy SEAL Shane Wolfe is assigned to protect the five out-of-control children of an assassinated scientist, he gets more than he’s prepared for as he initially finds the children impossible to deal with. Throughout the film, however, Wolfe and the children bond as they better each other in ways and defend each other against the bad guys. This is Vin Diesel’s Kindergarten Cop and it soars with its family-friendly charm and the often funny parody of Diesel’s tough-guy image.
