Earlier today, we reported on the gloriously insane Cult of Chucky trailer, but we’re already putting that video on the back-burner in favor of its red band counterpart. Released exclusively through IGN, the trailer follows the same beats as the previously released advertisement, but with inclusions such as a beheading, a surgical procedure, and Chucky being breast fed by a patient. Say what? Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think!

Written and directed by Don Mancini, the seventh film in the Child’s Play franchise follows Nica (Fiona Dourif), who is institutionalized for murdering her family when no one believes the truth. When her psychiatrist introduces a Good Guy doll as a new group therapy tool, grisly deaths begin to happen around the asylum- prompting Nica to realize that she’s not crazy after all. Andy (Alex Vincent), the original protagonist of the series and Chucky’s nemesis, races to save Nica from the possessed doll, but must first get past Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly), Chucky’s former bride, who will do anything to help her longtime lover.

The plot of Cult of Chucky is a wet dream for fans of the Child’s Play series, and when coupled with the returning actors, makes for an exciting premise. Will you be watching Cult when it releases on October 3rd? Share your thoughts in the comments and on social media!
