The new trailer for the big-screen adaptation of IT arrived Thursday, taking over the internet and ruining my good pair of pants in the process. The trailer featured Pennywise, played by Bill Skarsgard, much more prominently than the previous teasers, which sparingly used the nightmarish villain. Still heavily used in the marketing, however, is the chemistry between the child actors that make up the iconic Losers’ Club.

Led by Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special) as Bill Denbrough, the Losers’ Club is rounded out by Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) as Richie Tozier, Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben Hanscom, Chosen Jacobs as Mike Hanlon, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie Kaspbrak, and Wyatt Oleff as Stanley Uris. When speaking with Ain’t It Cool News about the potential sequel (If trailer-success leads to box office returns, you can count on that sequel getting the greenlight this Fall), the young actors were asked to cast the adult versions of themselves for the future movie, and the choices were spot on.

Let us know what you think of their casting choices and who you’d like to see in the roles!

7. Alexander Skarsgard as Bill Denbrough

Jaeden Lieberher might not have picked his own acting counterpart, but he and Finn Wolfhard were on board when the press suggested it. Ain’t It Cool writes that Wolfhard was ecstatic over the potential casting of Alexander as “the biggest F you to Bill in the world!” Bill of course being Skarsgard’s younger brother who portrays Pennywise in the big-screen update.

6. Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh

Sophia Lillis was much more vocal about her choice to play Beverly in the sequel, stating that Chastain was a “no brainer.” Jessica Chastain sounds like a perfect fit, and the actress has previously worked with director Andy Muschietti on Mama, his 2013 horror release.

5. Chris Pratt as Ben Hanscom

Jeremy Ray Taylor suggested that Chris Pratt play Ben in the sequel since his character becomes fit and muscular and “that’s what Chris Pratt did.” We can definitely see Pratt in the role of Ben, and his chemistry with Jessica Chastain should come together rather naturally after starring together in Zero Dark Thirty.

4. Jake Gyllenhaal as Eddie Kaspbrak

Speaking with MTV News during San Diego Comic-Con, Jack Grazer stated that Jake Gyllenhaal would be his choice to portray his hypochondriac character. Gyllenhaal is an acting chameleon, and as his role in Okja suggests, Kaspbrak may not be outside of his wheelhouse.

3. Chadwick Boseman or David Oyelowo as Mike Hanlon

Chosen Jacobs selected two fantastic actors who could play his Losers’ Club adult counterpart, Chadwick Boseman and David Oyelowo. While Boseman likely doesn’t have time considering his place as Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, both he and Oyelowo would be great in the role.

2. Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Stanley Uris

While others suggested Tom Hiddleston for the role, Wyatt Oleff sees Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Uris in the sequel. The character likely won’t be featured for a long stretch of time all things considered, but Gordon-Levitt is known for taking lesser known roles if the film is right. Go see Brick and The Lookout right now. I’ll wait.

1. Bill Hader as Richie Tozier

My personal favorite casting choice, Finn Wolfhard chose comedic actor Bill Hader to play Richie Tozier in the sequel. Wolfhard and Hader look similar enough for the part to make sense, and Hader possesses both the comedic and dramatic acting prowess to make Tozier a standout.
