Many retro gamers were left angry and empty-handed earlier this year after Nintendo announced the discontinuation of NES Classic Edition. The company’s plan for the popular mini console version of the Nintendo Entertainment System was to release a limited quantity within a small time frame. Despite that plan, it seems that Nintendo has decided to bring the NES Classic Edition back in 2018, as announced on their Twitter. A confirmed date has yet to be announced.

Retail price for the console was $59.99, which also included the following 30 games:

  • Donkey Kong
  • Double Dragon
  • Dr. Mario
  • Excitebike
  • Galaga
  • Ghosts ‘n Goblins
  • Gradius
  • Ice Climber
  • Kirby’s Adventure

  • Metroid
  • Ninja Gaiden
  • Pac-Man
  • Super C
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • The Legend of Zelda

  • Bubble Bobble
  • Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest

In addition, there was also good news announced for the Super NES Classic Edition. The mini console version of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was slated to end shipping at the end of this year. Instead, more Super NES Classic Editions will ship on September 29th.

Retail price for the console is $79.99 and includes the following 21 games:
