Global game developer and publisher Joycity announced today the launch of 3on3 FreeStyle on Steam. The free-to-play basketball title is the first launch from Joycity Annex, the new North American publishing office of Joycity.
“It is exciting to be opening a new office and launching such a big title all at the same time,” said Eugene Kim, CEO of Joycity Annex. “3on3 FreeStyle for Steam has a new progression system, a new interface, full controller functionality and so much more that players will love. It is exactly the kind of quality, polished title Joycity strives for and we look forward to building on that for all of our future releases.”
3on3 FreeStyle is a free-to-play, fast-paced and interactive street basketball sports game, featuring unique characters, online and co-op multiplayer modes, and straightforward controls making the game accessible for players of all skill levels. 3on3 keeps the successful formula from FreeStyle 1 and FreeStyle 2 and streamlines it by adding a new progression system, simpler revamped interface, and full controller-based gameplay. With over 500,000 players already playing the PlayStation 4 version, 3on3 FreeStyle is one of the top free-to-play games on PlayStation 4.
3on3 FreeStyle for Steam retains the features of the PS4 version, while providing higher resolution, fidelity and performance. The game has a large online community with 3 vs 3 Online Multiplayer Mode, 1vs 1 Online Multiplayer Mode and a dynamic practice lobby. Players can select from a unique range of characters with different skill sets inspired by the real life diversity of street basketball courts. The easy-to-learn controls allow anyone to jump in and unleash moves on their opponent. With the power of the Unreal Engine 4, interactive environments and characters respond to plays made on the court.
“2017 has been a year of incredible growth and innovation for Joycity with the release of our first Oculus title, the global release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War, and now a new US office,” said Eugene Kim, CEO of Joycity Annex. “Joycity’s titles have continued to grow and flourish in the North American market over the years, so it made sense to officially setup publishing operations here and we have jumped right in with our first launch, 3on3 FreeStyle for Steam.”
