Friday the 13th: The Game has been teasing fans for quite a while by posting images with mysterious dots and no explanation.

Today, a teaser for an upcoming game mode called “Paranoia” was released featuring, of course, the mysterious dots. (And the amazing Suspiria theme!) However, thanks to the video and a key hashtag at the end, it’s all making a bit more sense.

As Friday the 13th fans are aware, the fifth film in the series- Friday the 13th: A New Beginning– features Roy Burns as a copycat killer, making it the only film not to feature Jason behind the mask (or sack…) since the first film. While many have asked for Roy to be in the game as a killer, it just didn’t seem a likely addition. Perhaps “Paranoia” is a way to satisfy those Part V fans without adding Roy directly to the game.

The video and hashtag suggest this game mode would make one of the counselors a copy cat killer, without the others knowing who it is. If this is true, it has serious potential for fun, heart-pounding moments at camp.

While the release date is still TBA, Gun Media has confirmed that the update will be free. Give it a watch below and let us know your thoughts!
