Checking for monsters in our rooms is a timeless tradition. We’ve all had that eerie moment of feeling like you’re not alone and the most logical place to look is either under the bed or in the closet (monsters like dark places, of course).
“Monsters Aren’t Real”
In the new horror short Nite Nite, a 7-year-old boy believes that there is a monster hiding in his closet, but his babysitter doesn’t believe him until it’s too late. The short is directed and written by Chad Meisenheimer and stars Tommie Vegas and Brady Bond.
With a runtime just a little over 3 minutes, Nite Nite delivers a fun spooky tale reminiscent of Goosebumps stories. It’s short and sweet but extremely relatable to anyone who’s ever feared what’s lurking in the dark.
I went into the short not knowing anything about it, so I was ecstatic to see that one of the stars of the film was Tommie Vegas. Vegas is a phenomenal indie actress and always steals the show with her beauty, charm, and talent. I loved seeing her in a babysitting role, even if it didn’t end so well for her.
I don’t have anything negative to say about Nite Nite; however, I do wish it was a tad bit longer. With a few more minutes, the viewer could get to know the characters more and have a bit more connection to the film altogether.
Overall, Nite Nite is definitely a fun one that would be perfect to show your kids on Halloween night or possibly even your babysitter. Babysitter beware, monsters are real…
