Finn Wolfhard has enjoyed a significant amount of success since the summer of 2016. Stranger Things became an overnight worldwide sensation and pop culture phenomenon that would land Wolfhard and the rest of the cast awards nominations, the 2017 adaptation of Stephen Kings It became the highest grossing horror film of all time, and with Stranger Things 2‘s celebrated release this fall, Finn and the team are circling awards ceremonies on their calendar for the second consecutive year. And let’s not forget that his band just signed a record deal. Not bad for someone who hasn’t yet turned 15.
Per Variety, Wolfhard is now set to join the cast of The Turning– Amblin Entertainment’s new haunted house flick. An adaptation of Henry James’ novella “The Turning of the Screw,” the film will tell the story of a young woman who is hired as the nanny of two orphans who becomes convinced that the country mansion they’re living in is haunted.
Wolfhard will star opposite Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049) in the Floria Sigismondi-directed film. Jade Bartlett is penning the most recent draft from Chad & Carey Hayes’ (The Conjuring 2) original script.
The film goes into production early 2018.
