In the time since Nick Castle played “The Shape” in John Carpenter’s 1978 masterpiece Halloween, the actor has taken on an interesting body of work. Between co-writing Escape from New York with Carpenter, and directing films such as The Last Starfighter, Dennis the Menace, and the Damon Wayans-starring Major Payne, however, Castle never lost the title of “Best Michael Myers.”

Now, opposite Jamie Lee Curtis, Castle is returning to his iconic role in David Gordon Green’s 2018 sequel.

Per Bloody Disgusting, Castle has joined the now stacked slasher sequel. Though the announcement that Green’s sequel would be ignoring each of the previous installments except for the original was met with mixed reactions among the horror community, the new film continues to follow a decisive path through new territory without sacrificing the elements that made 1978’s film so special.

We can’t wait to see how it pays off.
