After numerous production delays and rewrites, a Flashpoint movie is finally moving forward for DC and Warner Bros. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who have been the speculated choice to helm the film, have finally been tapped to direct the complex, world-changing superhero flick.

The announcement comes after Game Night, the duo’s latest film, became a hit with critics and audiences alike. Prior to Game Night, Goldstein and Daley collaborated to write both Horrible Bosses films, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and 2015’s Vacation, which they also directed.

LEGO Batman writer Seth Grahame-Smith was originally set to direct the film, as did his replacement, Rick Famuyiwa, causing the film to be pushed back from its March 2018 release date.
