The first season of HBO’s Westworld was certainly quite a ride. Its expertly written storylines were brought to life by a solid team of amazing performers, pulling fans in quickly. By the end of the first season, it was clear Westworld was here to stay, leading to HBO ordering another season to be filmed.
Though the wait has been long, Season 2 of the series is finally almost here. Set to premiere on HBO on April 22 at 9 PM, the premiere episode just can’t get here soon enough. And all fans will be even more ready to return to return to the park once they see the brand new trailer, just released today from HBO!
Our trailer opens up with returning character Bernard Shaw, played by the talented Jeffrey Wright. We get to see some other familiar faces as well, like Thandie Newton, James Marsden, Ed Harris, and, of course, Evan Rachel Wood. As far as the new faces we see in the trailer, well, it remains to be seen what role they’ll be playing in the park. I’m looking forward to trying to figure it out from week to week, same as I did with Season 1!
Synopsis: Westworld isn’t your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park — which is looked after by robotic “hosts” — allows its visitors to live out their fantasies through artificial consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park’s guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged.
