Avengers: Infinity War is hitting American theaters a week earlier than expected. The first half of the two-film story was set to release in theaters on May 4th in the United States, but Marvel Studios announced yesterday that the movie is actually coming a week earlier, on April 27th, the same day as the international release.

The announcement came yesterday via a Twitter exchange with Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr.

Infinity War follows the release of Black Panther, which continues to break box office records (You can find our Black Panther review here). Given that T’Challa’s standalone film will likely gross a billion dollars worldwide, 2018 looks to be one of Marvel and Disney’s greatest financial years ever.

April 27th can’t come soon enough.
