Some of the biggest names behind modern horror will be featured in ‘The Bleeding Edge: A New Generation of Horror’ panel at this year’s SXSW Conference and Festivals. Horror is expanding across platforms and moving from theatrical to broadcast to on-demand to digital to mobile. This forward-looking panel discusses how the genre is allowing fans to connect anywhere, anytime and digital.

The lineup will include award-winning producer and founder of Blumhouse Productions, Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, Saw, and Happy Death Day), writer/producer/creator/actor Vera Miao (Two Sentence Horror Stories), writer/producer Steven Susco (The Grudge 1 & 2, Texas Chainsaw 3D), and writer/producer/actor Leigh Whannell (co-creator of Saw and Insidious).

Leigh Whannell is currently in post-production on his original sci-fi thriller, Upgrade, that he wrote and directed for Blumhouse/Goalpost Pictures. The film will premiere at SXSW and will be released on June 1, 2018.
