Ever since premiering The Walking Dead: The Game back in 2012, Telltale Games has been at the forefront of the trend of episodic gaming. They’ve since taken the format to other popular franchises, from Game of Thrones to Batman. Gamers have been wondering what series Telltale will take on next, and now we have an answer.
According to TechRadar, Telltale is currently developing a video game based on the popular Netflix series Stranger Things. As with other Telltale projects, the game will be available on both consoles and computers upon its release. It’s not known exactly how much of the game has already been developed, but it was originally planned to release alongside Season 2 of the show on Netflix (back in October of last year).
No details about the plot have been made public, but the game will take place in the same Stranger Things universe. Will we be playing as one of the four boys or Eleven? Will we alternate between them throughout the story? Or will we be controlling a newcomer into the franchise, experiencing his or her own freaky venture into the Upside Down? Anything is possible, but it seems very likely we’ll at least see a character or two from the series make their way into the game.
Both Netflix and Telltale have confirmed the game’s development, but we’re still holding out for more details. Be sure to check back for more updates!
